Personal information is collected from Members and potential Members of the FAN FORUM. This information is required to confirm your identity, and to ensure that the Members of the FAN FORUM are interested in the music of GLENN HUGHES. These cases are described in more detail below

The FAN FORUM requires a valid e-mail address and minor confirmation information for users who want to participate in the FAN FORUM. This allows us to protect our community from abusive postings and provides a verifiable point of contact should legal questions arise. At any time, you have the ability to keep your e-mail address hidden from other users by selecting that option within your user profile. Please note, email addresses belonging to HOTMAIL.COM, YAHOO.COM, ALTAVISTA.COM, HOME.COM, NETZERO.COM, NETZERO.NET, HOME.COM, MAIL.COM, MYSELF.COM and H.COM domains will be unable to register with the FAN FORUM - this domain list will be reviewed on a regular basis and you will be informed if changes are required.

The registration application is broken down into two parts. First, there is a private part with your username and password. The information collected on this part of the new member application and profile is kept private and can only been seen by the FAN FORUM administrators. It can never been seen in public by other FAN FORUM Members.

The second part contains informational fields that are made available to other FAN FORUM Members to foster a sense of community. At any time, you have the ability to keep your personally identifiable information hidden from other users by choosing to not provide that information within the public portion of your Member profile. We do require that you provide some publicly available information, including your First & Last name and Location within your profile. The Location should at a minimum be your City, State, Province or if you live outside of North America, your City and Country. If you do not wish to fill in the non-required fields in your profile, you may leave them blank.

Certain activities on the FAN FORUM involve the use of "cookies" to facilitate your experience. This includes retention of your username and password to the FAN FORUM and showing a default Topic View when you visit the forums. You have the option to turn these cookies off at any time by updating your user profile preferences or by simply logging off of the FAN FORUM. If your browser doesn’t support cookies, or if you have cookies turned off, these preferences will not be set. Cookie information is not used for any reason other than maintaining your current login status. If more than one person uses your computer, we recommend that you do not set cookies, to prevent someone from posting unauthorized messages using your login information.

The FAN FORUM does not disclose your personally identifying information to any third parties for any purpose without your prior consent.

It’s also important to be aware that when you voluntarily provide personal information (e.g., last name, address, phone number) in a posting on the FAN FORUM, that information is publicly available and may be used by someone in a manner unintended by you. For that reason, we discourage the offering of any personally identifying information within the FAN FORUM itself. The same is true for Private Messages (PM's). Although this is a feature that is private between you and your intended receipent(s) and not made accessible except to you and your receipent(s), you must understand it is on a publicly accessible Internet hosted device and which always makes it a possibility that it might be compromised by unscrupulous outside parties, not affiliated with the FAN FORUM or it's web hosting provider.
