You can listen to the entire album 24 hours a day, 7 days a week right now, up until December 31st. We hope this will be the first of many such special broadcasts that we can bring you. So don't delay, head over to this web address, as it's time to embrace the joys of Christmas once again!
http://www.ghpg.net/asc.html
In order not to sacrifice audio quality, you'll need high speed Broadband (DSL, Cable etc) as it's streamed at 64kbps and when attempting it over a dial-up connection, you'll run into some buffering (choppy performance). We support a few different audio players, such as iTunes, Windows Media Player, QuickTime, Real Player and Winamp. There is some brief help available, should you need it.
Thanks again to GLENN for sharing it with us all - we hope you enjoy!

| New solo album writing session.... | Posted Sunday, November 27 2005
| As you'll remember GLENN posted last week to let us all know that he's busy writing for his new solo album. Here are a couple of pix taken this past weekend over at Chad's house featuring GLENN, Chad Smith and John Frusciante. John has written a song for the new album and may participate on a couple of other things too.

 Greg Prato, N.Y. Billboard.com
Former Deep Purple singer/bassist Glenn Hughes is gearing up to record his next solo release, with the aid of Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith. The yet-to-be-titled release will be recorded in January and is on target for a May release.
"I've written more songs than ever before on this record," Hughes tells Billboard.com. "[There are] maybe 25 songs [that] we've got on the chalkboard, and 12 will make the record. It's funk, rock, soul, and pop all mixed together in a big soup. I'm probably going to have some real strings and maybe some more orchestrated songs. This one, and I'll quote Chad here, is going to be the most varied record I've ever done."
Hughes and Smith have been close friends for several years; Smith also co-produced Hughes' 2005 album "Soul Mover" and will fill the same role on the new release. "[While] writing new music for this record, Chad and I thought it would be great to have John come in, write and play on a couple of the tunes," Hughes says. "John has written a song specifically for me. I haven't heard that one yet, but we did get together Saturday -- our first writing and jamming day."
Hughes has high praise for Frusciante, which is coming from a man who has played with such rock guitar icons as Ritchie Blackmore, Tommy Bolin and Tony Iommi. "John Frusciante is quite possibly the most musical person I've ever met. He is 'at one' with his guitar, and I've never met anyone quite so insanely dedicated to the craft of writing and playing an instrument."
The album will be recorded at Smith's home in the Hollywood Hills and is tipped to feature tracks like "Oil and Water," "Frail," "Black Light," "Stepping On" and "The Valiant Denial." Also playing on the set will be guitarist J.J. Marsh, who has appeared on Hughes' last several solo releases.
With Frusciante and Smith busy for the foreseeable future touring behind the Chili Peppers' spring 2006 studio album, "Stadium Arcadium," Hughes will be heading out on the road with other musicians. Smith, and possibly Frusciante, hopes to be able to fill in for a gig or two if time permits.
Additionally, Hughes has another live presentation in mind. "I am talking to some promoters in Europe about doing some shows with orchestras," he says. "This is something I've been speaking about in the last couple of years -- that I'd like to be featured with an orchestra, playing a selection of songs from my history, and some cover songs."
And lastly, what about the rumored Hughes/Iommi tour, to support the duo's 2005 album "Fused" "We really want to do that, but it's just a matter of how and when we can do it," Hughes says. "Tony is totally up for doing it; [drummer] Kenny [Aronoff] and I are totally up for doing it. Tony wants to go out with a proper production, and it entails money. I think the agency is looking into that, but right now, I'm moving forward."

| Big Daddy's in the house! | Posted Thursday, November 17 2005
| Well a bit of a news update for you today directly from GLENN - he finally got around to posting on the Fan Forum today and promises to do so more often soon.
There's lots going on right now and the New Year promises to be one of his busiest to date by all accounts. So without further a do - here's his messsage.....
++
Big Daddy is finally logged in and ready to talk
I don't have DSL at the house yet, hopefully in the New Year it'll get sorted out and I'll be back here more often then. Dial-up is so painful and sloooooow!
I got together with Chad yesterday and played the new songs to him again on acoustic guitar. We'll be finishing things up between now and Christmas and then heading to the studio first thing in the New Year. JJ will be over then and staying with me & Gab during recording time.
John Frusciante has written a song for me for the new album and we're getting together on Monday to go over a couple of other things.
Ryan Hewitt is the engineer and mixer for the new record. He's worked with the Chili Peppers, Blink-182, U2, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel and many others.
They'll be a new video shot in early February and we're talking to Jim LaRocca about that - you may remember, he directed Days Of Avalon. Not sure which song yet. It'll be filmed at Chad's other home in Malibu.
In other news, Soul Mover is going to be released in Australia very soon with the addition of Nights In White Satin and a couple of other bonus tracks. I hope to pay a visit there in February for promotion and maybe even a couple of shows.
There's also some shows in South America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile & Uruguay) in March that we're hoping to get confirmed soon.
As always, when all these dates are confirmed, they'll be posted here.
Love, Big D

As GLENN says, as further news and dates are confirmed, we'll have them on here straight away.

| Vegas bound... | Posted Wednesday, November 9 2005
| As you may know GLENN is in Las Vegas this week visiting with friends. Amongst them, Kevin DuBrow and also of course, former Hughes/Thrall drummer Frankie Banali - he'll be helping out in the writing sessions for the next Quiet Riot album due next year sometime.
His schedule is getting full very quickly for next year, so expect some news very soon about some of that. We can tell you the recording for the new solo album starts in January and will be out well before the Summer with probably Euro festival and other tour dates soon thereafter. Until USA promoters realize the potential that GLENN can provide them, it's unlikely they'll be many Stateside appearances, other than the odd one or two here and there, as has been the case in the past.

| Iommi "Fused" with Hughes - July 12th | Posted Tuesday, April 26 2005
| Tony Iommi, the legendary Black Sabbath guitarist, will release his new album, Fused, on July 12th, 2005, via Sanctuary Records. This will be Iommi's third solo album.
Joining Iommi on Fused is former Deep Purple vocalist/bass guitarist GLENN HUGHES and former John Mellencamp drummer Kenny Aronoff, who has also played sessions with the likes of the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd and countless others. The trio will hit the road to promote Fused later this year after Black Sabbath finishes headlining the 10th anniversary Ozzfest tour.
The 10 songs on Fused are:
"Dopamine," "Wasted Again," "Saviour Of The Real," "Resolution Song," "Grace," "Deep Inside A Shell," "What You’re Living For," "Face Your Fear," "The Spell" and "I Go Insane."
Iommi has worked with both Hughes and Aronoff in the past. Hughes is a longtime friend who sang on the 1986 Black Sabbath Featuring Tony Iommi album, Seventh Star. In 2004, previously unreleased songs they had collaborated on eight years earlier were completed and released by Sanctuary as The 1996 DEP Sessions. Aronoff played drums on the song "Black Oblivion" on Iommi's self-titled 2000 solo album, which was loaded with all-star guest appearances. Fused was produced by Bob Marlette, who also manned the studio boards for Iommi.
"I put some ideas for four or five tracks down about three years ago, but I hadn't written them specifically with Glenn in mind," Iommi says. "After The 1996 DEP Sessions was finished last year, I said to my manager that I should try Glenn on my solo album. Glenn came over to England and we did a trial run writing more material and it was unbelievable. His enthusiasm is amazing. He is so full of energy and great song ideas."
"The ideal thing for me is to work with collaborators. I can come in with riffs until the cows come home, and I do that all the time. I like to do it that way and then build the song with somebody else."
Iommi and Hughes tend to write quickly when they settle in. Once the basic song ideas were written for this new album, Hughes worked on overall melodies and lyrics. The songs were in place, but a drummer was needed to tie it all together. Iommi was eager to work with Aronoff again and had him in mind from the beginning. The highly respected skins-basher was thrilled about the invitation, especially when Iommi said he wanted to tour to promote Fused.
"I definitely knew that for my next album I wasn't going to use a lot special guests again. I wanted to use just one singer, and I also wanted it to be more like a band this time. The idea was to go into the studio with Glenn and Kenny play everything live. It was great. I really enjoyed doing it that way," says Iommi. "That was the original way you used to record, and that was the only way I knew how to record for a long time. Only a few years ago did I start recording the other way, by building up and layering tracks. By playing live in the studio, you can hear exactly how the songs are going to sound and whether they work."
These new songs most definitely work, and they rage with the same fire and intensity that mark Iommi's best. There is nothing quite like the sound of a power trio, because there can be no weak links -- each musician's efforts stand out. There is no place to hide. Iommi, Hughes and Aronoff feed off each other, whether it's the concise punch of "Dopamine" and "What You're Living For" or the fluid twists and turns in the nine-minute epic "I Go Insane."
Iommi's lethal guitar crunch leads the charge. Hughes truly pushes himself to the edge and adjusts his voice to fit the overall direction of each song while simultaneously propelling the rhythm with his pounding bass guitar. The volcanic thunder Aronoff unleashes from his drums sounds like nothing he has done before. Marlette's sparkling, crisp production results in a hard-hitting, modern, in-your-face sound.
"Bob is a fantastic producer. He also played a few keyboard parts on this album because he wanted to get his hands in there!" laughs Iommi.
Marlette's major role as the producer was to provide that extra, objective pair of ears and determine when a song was finished. He also judged Iommi's solos and usually found what he looking for after four or five takes. However, Iommi often wanted to lay down more solos with the purpose of topping himself with each pass.
"I tend to keep trying solos until I get to where I say, 'Oh yeah, I really like that one.' It's not often I say that, but you're always trying to get that one you're happy with," he says. "Sometimes it is difficult working with a producer when you have been a producer yourself, but it's good to compare ideas. To get the best end result you do whatever it takes."
Iommi's excitement about Fused is at a fever pitch and he cannot wait to tour with Hughes and Aronoff.
"In addition to playing material from this album, we'll probably do a couple of tracks from The 1996 DEP Sessions and a few Sabbath songs too," he says.

| Music From Planet Marsh - Sampler available | Posted Monday, February 21 2005
| Thanks to JJ Marsh, we can now share with you a sampler of each song taken off Music From Planet Marsh, his debut solo CD. In talking with him the other night, he hopes to have the CD available on the current Soul Mover tour, and also generally in March.
What a voice he has and the celebration of his musical influences is wonderful, while at the same time having a modern contemporary sound - it surely is a winner - hopefully it can be made available everywhere soon, there maybe some news on that front in the not too distant future.
Although these snippets don't really give you the full experience, when you see JJ on the road, be sure and let him know directly what you think, he's looking forward to everyone hearing it.
Track Listing: Electric Women - Play The Game - Is It Real - Into The Light - Something Song - Move On - It's Not Too Late Need A Friend - The Change

"It´s great to hear people are interested in my music!
I´m really happy and proud of it, it´s the best I´ve done, I´m really happy with the music and how the record sounds, very 70´s! Of course, I can´t sing like Glenn, but it is not too bad. Broman is my favorite drummer and he sounds great!!"
