Happy Holidays - Message From Glenn
Posted Wednesday, December 19 2007
Hi Everyone,
Wow, what a year!!!!
It is a time for me to give thanx to my Higher Power, for, one more time, givin' me the gifts to, make music, both on tour and in the studio.
It has also been a time of loss...the Passing of my very close friend Kevin Dubrow, has left a void in mine and Gabi's life. He was, is, part of our family. Words cannot describe how deeply saddened we both are.....Like Tommy Bolin, I will honor his name....I knew a very personable, intelligent, generous and hilarious KD.....may he rest in Peace.
Wanna thank you the many people who attended my Concerts this year, from LA to New York, from Moscow to London, from Rio to Kiev...thanx for growing with me.
[ Glenn, Gabi and the Kids (Mac, Lily and Wolfie) ]
Now.....I have just completed my new album......we are mixing @ the moment, and will be mastering in January......I'm always excited about recording new albums, the songs are personal to me, as they are constantly being shaped thru out the year.
Well here goes....I have never EVER had an experience like this B4.....this Music is changing my life, it feels like these songs have been livin' inside of me for quite sometime, waitin' for the right moment to be born.
These songs are a gift to myself, those that are closest to me are saying that this is my greatest work...simply because I was not afraid to show myself as an Artist...and, I really pushed myself as a songwriter, both musically and Lyrically to the MAX.
If you want a comparison, there isn't one, but it's in the "Play Me Out", "You are the Music", and "Feel"....."vibe". It will change the way I make music for the rest of my life...there is no doubt in my mind, that this work will enable me to become a better person, God wants us all to have our innermost hearts desires, and this is mine...... It will be released Worldwide in April....It is the greatest high I've ever had, better than Drugs, Food, Sport, and yes even better than Sex.
Here's GLENN with drummer, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and guitarist, Luis Carlos Maldonado.
Here they are seen at The Swinghouse Rehearsal and Recording Studio in Hollywood, CA. on Wednesday, November 28th, 2007, preparing for GLENN's new solo album, which is due out in Spring 2008.

Kevin DuBrow : Official Statement
Posted Tuesday, November 27 2007
Today, GLENN issued this official statement regarding the sad passing of his close friend, Kevin DuBrow.
"I am deeply saddened by the passing of one of my closest friends, Kevin Dubrow.
I had known Kevin since '83, when QR took off with their Multi platinum selling record.
He was a loud and Proud soulful Rock 'n Roller, who loved the British Invasion, Quoting Stevie Marriot and yours Truly as his Favorite singers.
I met him though Frankie Banali, Hughes/Thrall's drummer. Frankie and Kevin were more than Bandmates, they were brothers. I lost contact with him, until 2001 when I saw him in the audience at one of my shows in Las Vegas at the House of Blues. Couldn't miss him: There he was, groovin' away. All 6' 4 of him. After that show, he and I became very close....we would travel together, (we were planning on goin' to Maui in the New Year).
He stayed at my LA. Home when he was in town. He had his room, always prepared. I want you all to know that my relationship with him was a loving and nuturing one. He called me his big brother. He would call me sometimes 10-20 times a day, askin' a million questions, about life, music and food!
Kevin was a giver; he was always sendin' me gifts in person or via Fed Ex. I used to call him a silly boy; All I needed was his love, Material things aren't important to me, it's on the inside that counts.
Kevin called me on the 16th, Gabi took the call, I was at the movies with my friends. He wanted to know if we could pick him up at LAX on the 23rd, the night of a party that Gab was throwin' for me.
There's no way that KD would have missed this event, but we didn’t have his flight info. By Tues/Weds, I became very concerned and started callin' him on his hotline, and cell phone and texts and emails......no answer.....then Thanksgiving, I knew his MOM , Laura, was back on the East Coast...where is my boy? We thought it was very odd that he never showed.......all my friends were there, but not my lil' boy..... .....so, it's now the weekend, and I'm talkin' to Gab about catchin' a flight to Vegas.
By Sunday mornin', I couldn't take it anymore, and decided to contact Lark Williams about callin' a Paramedic to get into Kev's house. Well, the rest is history.
I will miss him more than anyone will know. He was a big part of my life. He was childlike, he was sweet, kind.....and he loved life. I will miss having dinner with him at the Palm in Beverly Hills. I will miss his big booming voice bellowing through my house. I will miss the corny jokes he had by the dozens. I will miss talking to him on a daily basis. I will miss writing songs with him for the next Quiet Riot album.
I will now begin work on my new record this evening. I will dedicate this one to you Kev.
I played you the songs sitting across from me on the couch a coupla months ago...And yeah....he was groovin'. You will never be forgotten.
Your big brother, Glenn XXXXX"

Luis Carlos Maldonado
Posted Sunday, November 18 2007
For those of you who have had a chance to listen to GLENN's latest voice message over at his MySpace page, you would of heard him make reference to a guitar player that will be joining the ranks for the upcoming recording sessions for the next solo record, by the name of Luis Carlos Maldonado.
Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, he is a gifted guitar player having grown up in a musical family, playing guitar since he was 7 and studying it since he was 12. He attended classical guitar master classes at the University of Arizona and later graduated from College in CA. with 5 different certificates in recording, recording production, live sound, midi, keyboards, and engineering. All before the age of 21.
Although he has had a heavy latin and jazz background from an early age, rock is also a stable in his musical bag of tricks and so some of the bands that have had a huge influence on his playing style include Automatic Man, Isley Brothers, Argent, Sly and the Family Stone, Heart, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Terry Reid, Lucifers Friend, Free, The Nazz, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Stray Dog, The Faces and The Sweet to name just a few!!
He has quite a resume/CV:
He has recorded and toured with Pat Monahan (Train), Anna Nalick, John Waite (Baby's, Bad English), Tremolo, Michael Schenker, UFO, Holly Palmer, Tim Alexander (Primus), Buck Johnson Band and many more. He has collaborated with producers Patrick Leonard (Madonna, Jeff Beck), Charlie Midnight (James Brown, Hillary Duff), Jamie Houston (Macy Grey, Jessica Simpson), Steve Fontano (Santana) and many others. Luis currently plays guitar for recording artists Fata Morgana, Emma Burgess, Arie Shine, Pat Monahan, Glenn Hughes, Anna Nalick and Cindy Alexander.
Luis is also completing work on a soon-to-be-released album of his own.
Meantime, you can find his full discography and lots of other info about him at his web site, plus he has a couple of different MySpace pages.
Can't wait to hear what he adds to the new GLENN solo record

Hi Funksters...
Just wanted to give you all some info on the new, yet unrecorded album.
My songs, and songwriting, have become more important to me these past couple of years, and lookin' @ this made me realize that I need to be makin' music that is completely satisfyin' to me as an artist.
When I got clean and sober in '91, I hadn't written anything in a few years, so when I was freed from the human bondage, the floodgates opened... all thru the nineties I was blessed with the serenity to move 4ward, and grow as a human being, and live and breathe in God's grace... Since Soulmover, and M4TD, I have found a new belief in myself, not only as an Artist, but as a Man who is now come home.
I asked myself a question this Spring: "What is the right and appropriate Musical path 4 me?"... The answer was quite simple, I have to make music that is pure and natural... It felt like I was seeing myself 4 the first time, and 4 once I had zero fear of what was in front of me.
I had this feelin' early on in my career with "You Are The Music, We're Just The Band". I was just 20 years old when this album was recorded, but I had a strong vision, and I took my songs and arrangements to a new level in that period... For a young lad @ that age to add Alto Sax, and vibes, and pedal steel, was pretty risky, but it worked like a charm... With my new album, I feel it is time to love myself enough, and be brave enough.
There will be more Glenn original songs than ever B4... I have been in my Studio day and night, when I am home in LA... This will be the funkiest album I've made so far... Yeah, I got somethin' cookin'. A couple song titles 4 you: "We Go To War" and "Imperfection".
I'll be updating my blog a little later in the year.
Mel Galley, former Trapeze/Whitesnake/MGM/Phenomena guitarist, will be performing 2 confirmed solo dates in the UK on March 28th and March 29th, 2008.
It's a long way off, but Mel wanted to get Christmas and January out of the way and also make sure he had plenty of rehearsal time and a great setlist ready.
The venue is The Tackeroo, where his videos of Black Cloud and Cocaine were taken. Tickets are not on sale as yet, but will let you know when they are. The place only holds 250, so there will be a total of 500 available. If any of you (especially from overseas), want to contact the venue in advance, to be sure of a ticket, then you can contact the owner Geoff from his website: http://www.tackeroo.com
The set list will include Trapeze and Whitesnake songs, plus some covers and maybe even something from Phenomena.
If these 2 shows go well, then there will be more later on in the year and they may be at bigger venues, if ticket demand is there.

Plagiarism - please read...
Posted Sunday, September 30 2007
Hi everyone,
Please read this all the way through, thanks
After running this web site for over 10 years now, we have shared many of our Glenn Hughes and other nuggets with everyone here and due in great part to the community that this site has become, many other fans have decided to contribute some of their gems over here too.
It is a real pleasure to be able to carve out this special place on the Internet and we are very grateful to Glenn and others for their ongoing and continued support. It is a very special thing that we all share here and it is what makes this community so strong.
But now we are asking for your assistance.
We have discovered we are victims of plagiarism, as it has come to our attention and as we have also discovered on our own, that a ton of material that was originally placed here (site wide and Fan Forum) by ourselves and by fellow community Members, is turning up all over the place on the Internet. Now, that in itself, we don't object to, after all, when you put something on the Internet, you have to accept the 'unwritten rules', that it is now in the 'public domain'.
Our objection, is to those who hijacked the material with the intention of posting it elsewhere, claiming they produced or created it themselves and/or without a credit or acknowledgment whatsoever, to this web site and/or the original owner of the material, who first posted it on this web site.
So we are asking you....that if you come across something that you know you posted or saw here first or something which has our watermark/web site logo on it etc, wherever it may be on the Internet, that you post a message on the web site you find it on and/or email the web site owner, that the item in question, originated here and that a link back here is to be placed in the posting containing the material or simply, a link to here, on the web site in question, crediting where the items came from in the first place - www.GHPG.net - and/or the name of the Member who first contributed it here!
If you are unable to post and have to email the site owner, please do so, or if you prefer not to, feel free to email us a link to what you have found and we can take the appropriate action from there.
We work extremely hard to keep this site maintained and to bring you news, reports, multimedia etc on a near daily basis and all we're looking for is a credit and/or acknowledgement on other web sites, when materials appear there, that were originally sourced from here, whether by us directly or by a Member of our community.
Unfortunately, this is one of many reasons why we have instituted some of the policies that are now in place both site wide and the Fan Forum, such as regular purging of inactive members, 10 posts before attachment access, watermarks on images, video and audio files, disallowing registration from certain email domains etc, etc. Basically, we try and make it very easy on ourselves to trace where someone comes from, in case we hear of something that was taken from here, without mention of www.GHPG.net and/or the community Member who contributed it here.
It's sad some people feel the need to hijack and plagiarize, so we are notifying you now that we're not happy about it and that we are very angry at other site owners who get notified, but who don't respond to our requests to take control of their communities and who in turn, obviously condone such behavior, based on their complete lack of response and inaction.
We have let this go on for far too long and have reached the point where we want people to know, it hasn't gone unnoticed!
Anyway, we appreciate your cooperation with this and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Busted - Mel Galley impersonator exposed in the UK
Posted Saturday, September 15 2007
KNOCK KNOCK, WHO'S THERE? IT'S MEL GALLEY THE ROCK STAR. YOU CAN'T BE, I'M MEL GALLEY
Date: September 15th, 2007 Derbyshire Evening Telegraph
Rock fanatic Ken Grimley has been visiting live music venues and signing autographs pretending to be former Whitesnake guitarist Mel Galley. But his fantasy world was shattered this week when the actual 1980s rock hero turned up on his doorstep to confront him.The real Mel Galley wanted to know why Mr Grimley had been deceiving people, so Evening Telegraph reporter Paul Bull brought together the two 'Mels'.
It was the moment Ken Grimley's fantasy world fell apart.
The real Mel Galley, the man he had idolised and then impersonated, exposed him as a fraud.
Ironically imposter Ken had not recognised hero Mel when he had knocked on the door of his terraced house in Ripley.
Ken had even given him a tour around his home, a shrine to rock music, before signing an autograph as Mel Galley and giving it to the real Mel.
Then, as the conversation went on, the penny dropped and he realised he had been rumbled by the rock star himself.
In a fluster, he said: "I apologise if I've offended anyone. I haven't maliciously misled anyone.''
He then offered Mel a guitar from his collection before shaking his hand and saying "no hard feelings".
Mr Grimley, 65, has been fooling people into thinking he is the rock star.
Excited musicians have returned home from gigs brandishing autographs and, in some cases, plectrums given to them by a man who they believed to be Mel Galley.
Occasionally, fans were even invited to Mr Grimley's modest three-bedroom home, which he has turned into an Aladdin's cave of guitars, framed records and other rock memorabilia.
It was a deception he had got away with and one that may well have continued. But what he did not realise was that the real Mel Galley was on his case.
Mr Galley asked the Evening Telegraph to expose the impersonator so no more fans could be duped.
I made an initial visit to Mr Grimley's home, claiming to be a fan, armed with a Whitesnake album in the hope of getting it autographed for a friend.
"I've been a recluse for 17 years," he told me. "Not even my neighbours really know who I am.
"I'm not into the limelight like some of them. It's an evil business."
Although the house appears to be an unusual setting for a former rock star, the interior is decked out impressively and Mr Grimley recounted story after story associated with the many guitars hanging on the walls.
He claimed to own a 10-bedroom mansion elsewhere in the county, along with three Rolls-Royces and a number of motorbikes.
But he said he kept the Ripley home so he could escape. One of his neighbours said he thought Mr Grimley was a security guard.
Mr Grimley said: "I just tell them anything.
"I still jam with Knopfler and Clapton, although Clapton spends a lot of time in the States now.
"I was over in America earlier this year playing with ZZ Top."
I eventually left the house with the Whitesnake album he had autographed as Mel Galley and a plectrum he claimed to have used while playing with the band.
The real Mr Galley said he first became aware that someone was impersonating him when a friend said somebody he knew claimed to have met him at a venue in Nottingham, even though he was not in the city at the time.
He would occasionally get similar reports, but the extent of the impersonation became clearer when his friend, Paul Smith, set up myspace websites for fans to log on to and post comments.
Mr Smith said: "We've had messages from young bands saying 'it was great to meet you last night' and 'thanks for the advice and the plectrum', when Mel hadn't even been there.
"I started replying and asking them to provide more information."
One of the people who replied was Whitesnake fan Tracey Moore, from Mansfield, who had met Mr Grimley through a friend at the Anchor Inn in Oakerthorpe.
Mrs Moore, her husband, Peter, and two friends from the Black Aces motorcycle club were invited to Mr Grimley's home and became suspicious.
She said: "It was the house. We thought, why would a guy who had a mansion live in a place like that?
"It just didn't seem right and I started searching on the internet. I sent a message to Mel's myspace page saying thanks and Paul replied and I got talking to him.
"The real Mel then invited me to see him and he was brilliant.
"At the time I was gutted and disgusted that someone could pretend to be Mel Galley to people who were true fans of Whitesnake."
Mr Grimley told me he was 65, had never been married and did not have any children. He claimed his mansion was on the Derbyshire border near Sheffield and that he had regularly played gigs and at festivals anonymously.
However, the real Mel Galley is 59, has a wife and two children and lives in a house in Cannock.
He was forced to leave Whitesnake during the early 1980s when he broke his arm and suffered nerve damage. He has only recently started performing again.
Mr Galley said the number of people who had fallen for Mr Grimley's story had prompted him to contact the Evening Telegraph to expose the impersonator.
Before Mr Grimley recognised his hero, he posed for pictures in his kitchen with Mr Galley and even signed an autograph.
When Mr Galley revealed who he was, and showed him a magazine article about him in his earlier years, Mr Grimley still tried to talk his way out of it.
Bizarrely, even though he told Mr Galley he would stop impersonating him, Mr Grimley continued to maintain he had played with Whitesnake and other music legends, including Elvis and Eric Clapton. He also continued to claim he owned a mansion worth £22m and also said his real surname was Barlow.
The real rock star said: "I'm upset but I feel more sorry for the people who have fallen for it."
Mr Galley said meeting Mr Grimley had been "disturbing".
"I found the experience really eerie. All I wanted to do was get out of the house.
"I'm furious this man has been leading his life as me.
"I don't wish him any harm but he needed to be shamed so he can't do it any more."
Mel Galley (formerly of Trapeze/Whitesnake/Phenomena/MGM) has just sent out some details to local press in the conman's area and also Classic Rock, Blabbermouth and The Fuze.
If any of you can recommend other well read rock music websites he can contact it would be appreciated.
In the mean time here are some details.
A guy called Ken Grimley who looks nothing like Mel, he's older, shorter, fatter and bald has been pretending to be Mel in pubs, clubs and even music shops. He lives in Ripley and has been operating in the Derby and Nottingham areas. It would appear that 5 or so years ago he was pretending to be an ex roadie/studio assistant to Trapeze/Whitesnake. when he became Mel we are not sure. Mel has been getting regular messages on his page from people who think they have met him. In fact the only one he has met this year are upcoming US band Blanco Diablo (excellent by the way).
He gives "advice" to young unsigned bands, hands out plectrums, wears a snake ring (cos he was in Whitesnake right!), and generally tells made up stories about what he has done/is doing. A regular tale is he is just about to go to Ritch Bitch Studios in Birmingham(they are real) to record with Tony Iommi. Another that he is off to the USA to play with old friends ZZ Top. He told one band he hadnt spoken to Glenn for 5 years but that Jon Lord is still in contact and always sends him an Xmas card. When asked to play he declines and cites "his" hand injury. This is why Mel was keen to get the video on his page.
He has signed cd's and pictures and has his picture taken with fans. He even duped a Harley dealership i believe. When in danger of being caught out by fans who actually followed Mel's career he always leaves. tho a guy who realised he wasnt Mel got him to sign a Trapeze cd just to make him squirm knowing that they both knew he was a conman.
When he approached Dumpy (Rustys Nuts) when he was doing a solo acoustic show recently he didnt realise that his drummer Andy was a friend of Mel's. When Dumpy said "you know my drummer" he made his excuses and left.
In his house he has lots of guitars and even framed discs on the wall. When asked why it didnt say Mel Galley on them, his reply was that it was his stage name!
You get the picture. This info will appear in Mels blog along with some new pics. Pass the word, especially in the UK, to everyone you know and any music sites you can think of.
Mel thanks you all on here for your support

New Jersey Private Bash!
Posted Monday, August 27 2007
This past weekend GLENN and his band played a private event in New Jersey, USA. For those who were unable to make it, you sure missed a blinder, despite the heat of the day!
GLENN's band this time around featured Jeff Kollman on guitar, Ed Roth on keys and Steve Stephens on drums.
As lucky attendees, we witnessed a fantastic electric/acoustic set, featuring one song never played live before since the Trapeze days, in addition to some recent ones from Music For The Divine, plus some very cool covers
The setlist was as follows: The Valiant Denial - Orion - Land Of The Livin' - You Got Soul - Overjoyed - Nights In White Satin I Found A Woman - It's About Time - Will Our Love End - Coast To Coast - Don't Let Me Bleed - Steppin' On Soul Mover
Encore No.1: Superstition - Drift Away - American Woman - Sunshine Of Your Love - Higher Ground
Encore No.2: You Keep On Moving
As you can see, that's quite a set list and what with the humid weather, it's amazing he made it through, although I think he stood up better than the audience who were wilting at the end, despite ample liquid refreshments It must have been at least 120 degrees in the shade! Even the instruments were getting toasty, with some acoustic guitar 'casualites' along the way!
You can find some movie clips over in the Gallery section of the site!

NEW Greek dates - Pristina cancelled...Sofia postponed
Posted Tuesday, August 21 2007
The newly confirmed dates in Greece are as follows:
Friday, November 9th - Athens (To Be Confirmed) Saturday, November 10th - Thessaloniki - Ydrogeios Live Stage (http://www.ydrogeioslive.gr) Sunday, November 11th - Larisa - Mylos Club
Meantime, there are now some changes for some earlier planned dates in both Kosovo and Bulgaria...
Due to political problems in the region, the proposed show in Pristina on September 6th with BTR has been cancelled. However, thanks to the intervention, invention and quick-thinking of our dear friend Mayor Tsonko Tsonev, GLENN will now perform with BTR in KAVARNA, BULGARIA on Friday, September 7th at DOBROTITSA SQUARE in the centre of the city. In keeping with the intentions of the cancelled Pristina event, the Kavarna show will also be a special performance of Deep Purple MK3/MK4 classics.
In another strange turn of events, the show in Sofia on September 7th has also been postponed. We have been told that the organisers were hoping to invite the French President as a guest of honour to the event, but as yet they are still awaiting a confirmation of when/if he will arrive in Sofia.
But it is now confirmed that there will be a rescheduled GLENN and BTR concert of DP MK3/MK4 classics in Sofia on Friday, September 28th at 7:00PM - the venue is outside at NDK-Sofia.
During the same week, GLENN will be a guest on two big TV stations in Bulgaria; one of them, The Slavi Show, (kinda like Bulgaria's equivalent of the David Letterman show), he will perform "Mistreated" with the house band.
Thank You All

Live CourtTV Interview
Posted Monday, August 13 2007
Both GLENN and GABI were guests on Court TV live today, Monday, August 13th, 2007 at 9:10 AM PDT (12:10PM EDT) to talk about Lana Clarkson and the Phil Spector murder trail.
You can find the interview segment over in the Video section of the Gallery
The show they were featured on is called Best Defense with Jami Floyd. They were interviewed downtown at the courthouse by veteran television journalist, Jane Velez Mitchell.
As you know, GLENN mentions the trial in the recently released video commentary for the song, Black Light, taken from his latest solo album, Music For The Divine and despite the seriousness of the subject matter, CourtTV found time for a quick plug of the album and that particular song
Runtime is just over 10 minutes with GLENN and GABI featured in both the first and last half of the segment.

Don't Let Me Bleed (Live)
Posted Friday, July 27 2007
GLENN has made available the first of many YouTube exclusives - this first one features the song "Don't Let Me Bleed" from the gig at the Whisky this past June featuring Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Despite YouTube compressing the hell out of this pro-shot, multi-angle video, it sounds awesome to these ears and brings back those heart pounding memories of Glenn, Chad and the rest of the band from a hot and sweaty night
Look for more exclusives on YouTube over the coming months.
Bulgarian Nurses Freed!!!
Posted Tuesday, July 24 2007
(A message from GLENN's manager)
The Sofia date with BTR on September 7th was originally scheduled to be an awareness concert for the nurses imprisoned in Libya, but with the wonderful news today that they have been released safely, it will now turn into a concert to celebrate their release, and it is hoped that they will be able to appear as very special guests at the concert.
Our love and blessings go out to all the nurses, their families and the people of Bulgaria at this emotional time. Our sincere thanks also to all our Bulgarian friends - and in particular the Mayor of Kavarna Mr Tsonko Tsonev, Dani Petrova and BTR - for all their support and for again inviting Glenn to perform on behalf of love, freedom and humanity in their beautiful country.

TRENTON, N.J. - Glenn Hughes took over Los Angeles’ Whisky a Go Go and New York City’s B.B. King Blues Club this week with two wildly successful shows.
The sold-out shows - in support of his latest album, "Music for the Divine" - were Hughes’ first significant US shows in many years, and drew devoted fans from throughout the US and as far as the United Kingdom and Japan.
Hughes was joined in LA by his friend and musical cohort, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, with whom he worked closely on "Music for the Divine", before Smith jetted off to Japan for several Chili Peppers shows.
Prior to the B.B. King appearance, Hughes dropped by the XM Satellite Radio studios for a live appearance on Eddie Trunk’s program on XM’s Boneyard Channel (photo available).
"I want to thank all the fans and media who came out to see my sold-out shows in LA and NYC," said Hughes. "I was overwhelmed with the reception I received. It simply brought me to my knees. I have been touring the world for the last 10 years as a solo artist and was longing to play in the country that I am proud to call home. These shows will set the blueprint for more shows across the USA. I genuinely was taken by surprise at the intensity and the reaction of everyone who attended. I want to thank my brother and partner Chad Smith, and my band Jeff Kollman, Ed Roth, and Steve Stephens. The shows were soulful, funked up and rocked out GH style, and I loved that it was an ‘in the moment’ vocal event. I love you, my American brothers and sisters, thank you for welcoming me home. I hope to see you very soon in a city near you."
This morning GLENN issued a statement thanking his American fans, following his 2 sold out shows in Los Angeles and New York City, this past weekend

GLENN HUGHES: Vocals, Bass Guitar JEFF KOLLMAN: Guitars ED ROTH: Keys STEVE STEPHENS: Drums
GLENN HUGHES, also known as "The Voice of Rock", is a bassist and vocalist who joined forces alongside David Coverdale in Deep Purple for three classic albums: Burn, Stormbringer and Come Taste the Band. He was also the lead vocalist for Black Sabbath in the mid 1980s.
GLENN's latest album Music for the Divine is a rich tapestry of the soul, funk and rock which have always influenced his music. Artistically and spiritually, this album is a true representation of where Glenn Hughes wants to be right now. The new album was recorded at the Hollywood Hills home of Chad Smith, who played drums and co produced the record with GLENN. Recording in the house (the former residence of actor Cary Grant) had a significant influence on the atmosphere of the music and the direction of the album. Joining Chad and Glenn on Music for the Divine was long-standing musical partner JJ Marsh on guitar and another RHCP, guitarist John Frusciante.

Ken Hensley concert appearance
Posted Tuesday, April 3 2007
GLENN will make a special live appearance with former Uriah Heep member Ken Hensley, at Fabrik in Hamburg, Germany on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007, to help celebrate Ken's latest CD release, "Blood On The Highway", which GLENN is featured on.
The Ken Hensley Story "Blood On The Highway" CD Release Concert - Time: 9:00PM
featuring live performances by:
GLENN HUGHES, Jørn Lande, John Lawton, Eve Gallagher
KEN HENSLEY - sets his life story to music Ken Hensley was guitarist and keyborder in the original line-up of Uriah Heep (amongst others "Lady In Black") and formed the style of the band exceedingly until he left it in 1980 and continued as a solo artist after a guest performance in the band Blackfoot. Now he releases a concept album which reviews his life in an emotionally stirring way.
"Blood On The Highway - When Too Many Dreams Come True" is the musical version of his autobiography which has the same name: It is a story that begins a long time ago, when a young man dared to dream of becoming a rock-star, sacrificing family, love and security and ignoring the voices that said it couldn’t be done. The story takes us through the early days, the sacrifices, the risks he had to take and on into the crazy life he lived when his dream came true and he became an international star. But with the fame came the drugs, relationships failed and the music died. In search of a way out the same determination that had once taken him from a childish dream to the top of the world helped him. Hefound the way back... to an even better place!
Beside two songs that Ken sang himself he found top-class support for this musically fascinating album: amongst others Jorn Lande (Jorn, Masterplan), John Lawton (Uriah Heep, Lucifer´s Friend), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Hughes) and the solo artist Eve Gallagher.
