June 12^th, 1998

Hi Gang-

Just wanted to say, "Hey - I'm still here and very much alive!" There are a number of projects I have been working on, gathering enough material for "The Album", for which I'm currently in pre-production with George, Gary, and Hans.

I'm sure that there are a few of you wondering what has been going on. Well, I've been checking out a few ideas and formats, and I've decided that I should write a lot of material, as this next album, more than any other, holds a special place in my history.

If I've said this before, I must have been jesting with y'all, but all I can say is that I'm getting ready to record the most "Glenn" sounding record ever, and there must not be any compromise (musically). I want to play live with newer material, so the "new stuff" is being written for live shows.

For all the Funkmeister Fans, this is the one!

For all the Groove Fans, "Groove on baby!"

For all you Shaggers, "the Shag Album" comes soon!!!

I hope to see you all at the Bolin gig in Denver (21^st - 22^nd August).

Seriously, I'm very happy. I have really enjoyed the routine of writing on a daily basis. I have not written like this for years.

I miss you.
