Glenn there, done that

Hi, I'm more of a lurker than a poster here, but I just thought I'd put in my two cents worth. I've been a fan of Glenn Hughes since I heard him in 86 on the Run For Cover album. I'm disappointed to see everyone down on Glenn doing another rock album. I know he's spoken very enthusiastically about doing a funk-rock album, and although I know it'd be great I have to admit that my favorite Glenn solo albums in order would be From Now On, Addiction and Feel. Glenn seems to be in the same predicament that Gary Moore is in. Awe-inspiring talent recognized by a rabid cult-level fanbase around the world. Certain releases hard to get your hands on. Lots of sessions. And no matter what the guy does, he can't rise above a certain level. Blues, metal, AOR, funky, pop, you name it. And every day I see on TV and hear on the radio artist after artist who should take a backseat to someone with Glenn's talents. How bittersweet to know about something so special and for others not to see what you see. Or hear what we hear. I've twice had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see and meet Glenn in person and express my love for his talent. I will support what he does, new direction or not, in the hopes that "this may be IT...the one to break in a big way!" Thanks for letting me ramble. Glenn, you keep on moving me.
