Hi, in Record Collector no. 244 of december 1999 there are two, already known, facts on Glenn Hughes. But it's always nice to read it again:
The FIRST is in a 5-page article about Gary Moore in which he talks about his career. About G-force (page 109) he says the following:
Q: Then there was G-force
GM: That lasted a long time (laughs)
Q: Was Glenn Hughes originally meant to be in
that band?
GM: Yeah. After Thin Lizzy, I stayed in L.A. for
a year and we were going to get a band
together, but Glenn was out to lunch and it
was really hard, so we let him go. It was a
drag 'cos he was a great singer and bassist,
so we had to find two replacements. It became
a case of having to do it rather than wanting
to..
The SECOND one appears in a regular collumn "Looking back at.." 1974 in this case!
On page 221 we read:
-David Bowie performs "1984" , "Young Americans" and "Footstompin" on US TV's Dick Cavett Show.
- Bowie is also rumoured to take part in a future solo project by Deep Purple member Glenn Hughes...
....so YOU don't have to rush out and buy Record Collector!
